The Leaders In Training (LIT) program provides experience opportunities for Older Youth (aged 15-17) and Young Adults (aged 18-25) to assist at Kids and Youth Camps.

LITs are required to initially undertake Community of Christ’s Child and Youth Protection (CYP) course and complete all the requirements to become a Registered CYP Assistant (age 15-17) or Registered CYP Officer (age 18+).

RCYPOs are required to maintain their current Working With Children Check.

LITs are under the guidance and supervision of camp directors and are given greater responsibilities with increased experience, for example being a group leader through to leading camp program activities. This program supports the development of a young leader’s practical skillset and provides an opportunity for them to give back to the community that has nurtured them over the years.
