Kids camp Kallara 2024

How do we experience and express love?  What language do we use?  What expressions are most meaningful and how can our relationships be strengthened for the good?  These questions and many more will be the focus of the Perth Easter Camp this year, led by visiting minister Robert Thompson from Brisbane. 

We currently have 74 people registered for the family camp in Victoria on the 8th to the 11th of March. This does, unfortunately, mean that the provided accommodation is currently full. However, if you are still keen to come we would love to see you there.

Next month on the 18th of February there will be a Special Mission Centre Conference held online. 

We are in the final stages of organising this year’s Women’s Retreat at Tiona on the second weekend of March.

This year the theme is “Draw the Circle Wide”.

Next Monday, 22nd January 2024, marks the 150th anniversary of the arrival in Australia of the first missionaries of the Reorganized Church.  Charles Wesley Wandell and Glaud Rodger arrived in Sydney on 22nd January 1874.

In March 2023, President Stephen M. Veazey invited members and friends into an intentional process to discern the next prophet-president of Community of Christ. In August, President Veazey experienced a health issue that necessitated a medical leave of absence. The remaining members of the First Presidency believed the ongoing discernment process should proceed in accordance with President Veazey’s original plan. After reviewing succession guidance, scripture, and policies, the First Presidency asked the Council of Twelve Apostles to accept the sacred responsibility of calling the new prophet-president.

You are invited to share in community in a time of reflection and growth. Together, we will take the time to breathe out and acknowledge where we have been and what we have let go of. 

All World Church Submissions for the 2025 Community of Christ World Conference must be submitted to Community of Christ by 30th May 2024.

Saints Care has started conversations…

Saints Care has recently gone through a transitioning phase in consultation with both the Tuesday Connect program in Brisbane and the Food Pantry program in Perth, and it’s been determined that the best way forward at this time is for the programs to be delivered through the Community of Christ congregations.
